About Stephanie Martin

Speech Pathologist

Background

A little about me - I am a Speech Pathologist of 35 years’ experience. I graduated in 1987 from Flinders University (formerly Sturt College of Advanced Education). I have worked in rural South Australia and metropolitan Adelaide and Melbourne as well as in the United Kingdom.

My clinical interest lies in the area of voice rehabilitation, airway hypersensitivity and head and neck cancer rehabilitation. I have worked extensively in the rehabilitation of professional voice users including work related voice injuries.

I currently work part-time at Flinders Medical Centre as a Senior Speech Pathologist as well as in private practice. I coordinate the Flinders Voice Assessment Clinic, a joint Speech Pathology and ENT specialist voice assessment clinic.

I also have an interest in undergraduate training and am a clinical educator of speech pathology students in my areas of clinical practice as well as providing guest lectures through the Bachelor and Masters speech pathology programs at Flinders University.

I completed a Research Masters in Clinical Science in 2013 through the School of Translational Science, Adelaide University.

I am a certified practising speech pathologist and a member of Speech Pathology Australia.
