An initial assessment may require longer than 45 mins depending on the complexity of your concerns. Subsequent consultations routinely are for 45 mins.
Accounts are be settled by cheque, cash or credit on day of appointment. Hicaps facilities are available so that your private health fund rebate can be claimed on day of appointment. If you are a member of a private health fund, you may like to check with your fund as to the level of rebate gained against the fees above. DVA Health Cards are accepted as payment upon a doctors referral. If you are covered through DVA, you will be asked to sign a service voucher at the time of your visit.
Speech Pathology services are not routinely claimable through Medicare unless under a Chronic Disease Management Plan as assessed and referred by a General Practitioner. If you are referred under this plan by your GP, please be aware that Medicare provides a rebate of approximately $56.00 and there will be out of pocket expenses for the consultation . You will be asked for full payment on the day with the rebate claimed subsequent to the appointment.
